Krista Ficco was born and raised in Colorado. She graduated from Ouray High School in 1978. She received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Southern Colorado at Pueblo. She has worked with the Hockersmith & Whitmore firm since 1980. She works closely with the firm’s attorneys in areas of real estate law, water rights law, land use development, probate and estate administration, estate planning and corporate entity formation. She prides herself in concentrating on details and keeping clients well-informed through the handling of their cases. Krista has been an officer of the Legal Assistants of the Western Slope (LAWS) and has been involved with LAWS since 2005. She is also on the board of the Friends of the Ouray Library (FOL) and has been since 2019. She enjoys being outdoors either hiking, biking, cross-country skiing or rafting down the river. She also values spending time with her husband, two daughters and their families.
